Plays in Performance: April de Angelis' Play 'Jumpy'
April de Angelis' play JUMPY opened in the spring of 2012 at the Royal Court Theatre on Sloane Square, London, and then quickly transferred to the West End. The play is to do with the generation gap, and a mother and a daughter both pressured by time and culture. They're at their wits' ends. Much of life, it's often said, is about banking-up memories for the long run. This is about banking-up regrets.
This rehearsed performance by the students of English 379M is generously supported by the Center for Literary and Critical Studies and by the English Department. Special thanks to Amanda Bailey, Chair, English Department; Orrin Wang, Director of CLCS; and Karen Nelson, Associate Director, CLCS.
Rehearsed and acted script-in-hand, by the English majors of English 379M. The smartest little acting company on earth.
