Join the Maryland Initiative for Literacy & Equity (MILE) for the second annual Dual Language Educator Conference, a conference by and for DL educators- both current and new. The conference will be held at the University of Maryland campus in College Park, Maryland.

Join teachers, school leaders, and district staff for sessions on:

  • Leadership
  • Novice Teacher Support
  • Literacy/Biliteracy
  • Program Development
  • Content & Language Integration
  • Family Engagement
  • Assessment

Conference Goals

  • Cultivate a network & community of Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) educators & leaders to work toward the four Pillars of DLBE
  • Amplify visibility & elevate the voice of the DLBE community centered in equity
  • Collaborate with other educators in the DMV to create, develop, & sustain DLBE programs
  • Share promising practices, instructional strategies, & experiences that promote equity & quality in DLBE
