Maryland Metropolitan Education Expo | Spring 2025

College of Arts and Humanities Wednesday, February 12, 2025 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Adele H. Stamp Student Union, Grand Ballroom

All University of Maryland students are invited to the Maryland Metropolitan Education Expo (MMEE) | Spring 2025.

This annual recruiting event connects students with school districts and education-related employers looking to hire for full-time and part-time jobs and internships. At our last in-person event, over 60 school systems and organizations attended the Expo, with representation from most Maryland counties and the District of Columbia, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, and other surrounding states.

Missed pre-registration? That's okay! On-site registration will be available for all UMD students, graduate and undergraduate, UMD alumni, and students and alumni from other DMV area schools with relevant career interests/backgrounds.

 

EVENT DETAILS


Career Fair (Open-Networking) - 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: An opportunity for students to meet and network with school recruiters to learn more about school systems and organizations. Students can sign up to participate in the afternoon interview portion of the event.

On-Site Interviews (Pre-Scheduled UMD student only) - 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.: The Expo allows students to interview with school systems and organizations for anticipated teacher and education-related vacancies.

 


PARKING

Visitor Parking is available in Regents Drive and Union Lane Garages.

 

STUDENT CHECK-IN & ENTRY

Student check-in will take place outside of the Grand Ballroom Lobby. Located near The Coffee Bar entrance. Please have the following items readily available at all times:

 

  • UMD Undergraduate & Graduate Students, Alumni: University Student ID
  • UMD Alumni w/o UID: Valid Driver's License/State-Issued ID
  • Non-UMD Visitors: Valid Driver's License/State-Issued ID & any form of verification to confirm your current university enrollment or graduation status.


 

 

ACCOMMODATIONS & ACCESSIBILITY

The University Career Center and the President's Promise are committed to creating and maintaining an accessible and inclusive fair experience for all students. Any student needing accommodations to attend the Career Fair, navigate the space, or talk with employers should contact the University Career Center at careerfairs@umd.edu at least two (2) weeks before the fair to submit a request.

 

COVID-19 POLICY
 

  • University of Maryland Campus Guidance: All visitors on campus are expected to abide by the UMD campus health and safety guidelines found here. Before coming to campus, you must check for common COVID-19 symptoms.

  • Mask Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, it is strongly recommended. Students, faculty, and staff do not need to be tested regularly. Masks: While indoors, wearing a mask is not required. However, wearing a high-quality mask is recommended for added protection.
