Experimental Performance Series #4

College of Arts and Humanities | School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies Saturday, April 5, 2025 - April 5, 2025 The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Dance Theatre

ABOUT THE EVENT

The Experimental Performance Series is a collection of self produced works from undergraduate and graduate students in theatre and dance, ranging from production of established works to brand new plays and choreography.

This performance will feature two original plays.

Precedent, directed by Hayden Polsky, is a riveting and timely play that delves deep into the inner workings of the United States Supreme Court as it grapples with one of the most divisive issues of our time: abortion rights. Set against the backdrop of the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the play takes the audience on a compelling journey through the heated debates, personal convictions, and ethical dilemmas faced by the justices.

Reach Out, created by J.D. Sivert, is a solo memory play about the lasting impact of religious trauma, the bond of family, and the despair of loss.
