 Career Shuttle - SiriusXM

Career Shuttle - SiriusXM

College of Arts and Humanities Friday, October 4, 2019 9:00 am - 1:30 pm Hornbake Library, 3100

Join us on a Career Shuttle to SiriusXM on Friday, October 4! With the recent acquisition of Pandora, SiriusXM is now the largest streaming music provider in the United States, reaching more than 100 million people with curated music as well as a wide variety of talk and sports programming. This career shuttle is a great fit for students interested in a future career related to media and/or journalism.

During our visit, we will tour the facility and learn more about internships and jobs with SiriusXM. You can check out current opportunities here. We also hear from an alumnus who works as a Sports Programming Producer (and previously worked on POTUS and the MLB Network with SiriusXM).

Students of all majors (undergraduate & graduate) are welcome to attend, though students interested in media and/or journalism stand to benefit most from this trip. Space is limited. Once the bus is full, you will be added to our waiting list and notified if a spot opens up. Please note, due to the limited space and the expected high demand for this trip, we will be enforcing our "no show" policy. If you find you cannot attend this event, please contact Kate Juhl at kjuhl@umd.edu. If you fail to attend this event, we will charge your student account $25 to recover some of our lost costs.

On Friday, October 4, we will meet promptly in the University Career Center (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) at 9 am. We will travel by bus to SiriusXM. Depending on traffic, we should be back to campus around 1-1:30 pm.
