Research and/or Service Landing Page

The Research (or Service) landing page showcases activities, news, events or other information related to research (or service) happening in your Unit.

Research Page Layout

Most Research pages have a similar structure to a Basic Page. This structure includes:

  • Header | This is the large image across the top of the page. Website editors/admins can change this picture. See Images for more details.
  • Red Intro Block | Introductory text highlighting the page. This should stay at the top of the page, under the header image.
  • WYSIWYG | A block of text. This can also include hyperlinks or embedded media, if desired. 
  • Feature News | This is a News Feed widget that displays the three most recent news items tagged “Unit Featured Research News.” You can control which news items display here by adding the Unit Featured Research News tag to the Display Area field on individual news pages. See Curating News for details. 
  • Featured Events | This is an Events Feed widget that displays the three most recent events tagged “Unit Featured Research Event.” You can control which events display here by adding the Unit Featured Research News tag to the Display Area field on individual event pages. See Curating an Event Page for details.
  • Search bar | Web users can search for a specific activity or filter by “Research Expertise” or “Research Activity.” These are tags that can edited directory on the research activity. Visit the Activity page for more information.
  • Research Activity Listing | Directory below the search bar is the listing of research activities. These can collapse to hide/display information. To edit the content displayed on a research activity, visit Editing an Activity.

Website editors/admins can add other widgets to this page and rearrange the order as they see fit.
