Kermit the Frog
After a sold-out visit to campus in Fall 2024 as part of our Dean’s Lecture Series, Kermit the Frog returned to the university to share an inspiring message with this year’s graduates as the commencement speaker. This famed amphibian and beloved Muppet is the creation of alum Jim Henson '60, a home economics major who took studio art and puppetry classes at UMD.
