Maryland Today

Their last semester may not have been what they were expecting, but it’s been a time that the University of Maryland’s Class of 2020 will remember forever.

But as they prepare to celebrate their graduation today at an unprecedented virtual ceremony, the real trove of memories for these Terps will draw from their entire college careers.

UMD invited Spring 2020 graduates to share photos, videos and messages of memories, experiences and hope with fellow Terps using the hashtag #UMDgrad on social media.

Hundreds of grads—and their proud parents—joined in, reminiscing about the classes they completed, the friendships they formed and the events they enjoyed, from basketball games to club meetings to McKeldin Mall snowball fights. Several also relished their accomplishments by snapping a few pictures in their caps and gowns.
