Composer and Bassist Alejandro Rutty presents music from his Why Bass? project, an ongoing series explore the extended-range electric bass as a solo instrument and in collaboration with other musicians. Blending elements of South American music, jazz, classical and experimental traditions, Rutty's work pairs lyrical melodies, intricate rhythms and adventurous texture.
