Falletta conducts Creston & Kay: In partnership with Naxos Records

JoAnn Falletta and two virtuosic soloists join the NOI Philharmonic: Timothy McAllister in Paul Creston's alto saxophone concerto and Anna Mattix in Ulysses Kay’s Pietà. The performance includes Steven Stucky’s ghostly arrangement of Henry Purcell’s Funeral Music for Queen Mary and Harold Shapero’s neoclassical Symphony for Classical Orchestra.

This event is part of the National Orchestral Institute + Festival (NOI+F), a program of The Clarice at the University of Maryland. NOI+F trains aspiring orchestral musicians, composers, conductors and arts administrators from across the country in a month of dynamic music-making and professional exploration.
