Faculty Artist Series: The French Connection

School of Music Sunday, September 22, 2019 5:00 pm Gildenhorn Recital Hall,

Sarah Frisof and Rita Sloan are joined by fellow School of Music faculty Mark Hill, Gregory Miller, Robert DiLutis and Joseph Grimmer for a concert of unusual French chamber music for flute, piano and winds in various configurations. The performers will present duos, trios and a sextet from Poulenc's Paris of the 1930's to the 21st century's Techno-Parade by Guillaume Connesson.

Olivier Messiaen: Le Merle Noir (Blackbird)
Claude Debussy: Prélude à L'après-midi d'un Faune (Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun)
Guillaume Connesson: Le Rire De Sarai (Sarah’s Laughter)
Guillaume Connesson: Techno-Parade
Francis Poulenc: Sextet
