Experimental Performance Series #2
Experimental Performance Series #2
About the Event
The Experimental Performance Series is a collection of self-produced works from undergraduate and graduate students in theatre and dance, ranging from established works to brand new plays and choreography.
This performance will feature two original works:
Conflict is Vital, by Bre Seals-Rankin, is a choreographic exploration of the volatile balance between imposter syndrome and ego death—two forces that shape identity, ambition, and authenticity. Through the lens of Sam, a central character navigating the tension between belonging and standing out, the work traces the internal dialogue that builds, restrains, and ultimately fuels transformation.
Two Toddlers in a Sandbox, written by Eitan Amster and directed by Heidi Lehan, is a staged reading about the life of Beckett and Nelly, two toddlers experiencing a vast political climate from the perspective they hold as toddlers within their surroundings. The comedic satire is an examination of how children have a profound impact at such a young age, especially with their touch of humanity. If kids can solve their problems, why can't the government?
