The Annual College Forum: Truth & Lies: Fostering Critical Thinking and Civil Dialogue

College of Arts and Humanities Thursday, March 5, 2020 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, Crist Board Room

In this era of contested facts and irreconcilable narratives, the College of Arts and Humanities (ARHU) Collegiate Council has invited two experts on news media to help us help our students distinguish between truth and lies. Graham Smith (Senior Producer, NPR) and Sahar Mohamed Khamis (Associate Professor of Communication, UMD) will share their perspectives. You'll have the opportunity to meet and dialogue on this pressing topic with them and with colleagues from other ARHU units.

Refreshments will be provided.

View a Live Stream and Video of the event.
