2026 ARHU Commencement: Graduate Ceremony
2026 ARHU Commencement: Graduate Ceremony
The College of Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce that its May 2026 graduation ceremonies will bring together all units across the college for two celebrations – one for all our undergraduates and the other for our graduate students.
We recognize that a change from how commencements have been held in the past (with unit level ceremonies) may be an adjustment for some, yet we are optimistic about how this all-college approach will allow us to deepen ties across our diverse departments and celebrate the strength of the arts and humanities as a college community. With the political challenges we are experiencing as a nation, and with the launch of the college’s Timely and Timeless strategic plan this year, it is an important time to emphasize and celebrate our interconnections. The new College of Arts and Humanities commencement ceremonies will aim to showcase the diverse perspectives, identities and contributions of our 11 departments and three schools. Together across disciplines, the College of Arts and Humanities helps students build essential skills—like empathy, critical thinking, and communication—that prepare them not only for meaningful careers but also for lives of purpose.
We look forward to celebrating the important milestone of commencement with our graduates, their families and friends and our faculty and staff.
