Drop more than 4 credits after schedule adjustment

Dean's Exception to drop more than 4 credits

Each of the following items MUST be completed to submit the request for review. Any exception request that does not include this information will not be reviewed. In addition, students requesting any exceptions must do so with their primary college. This form is for the use of ARHU primary majors only.
Additional documentation may be required to support your request. This documentation may include: letter from each professor regarding your attendance (required if requesting a withdrawal with a W or without a W), letter from your medical provider with exact dates under a doctor's care, etc. Exceptions will be reviewed with the documentation provided. It is in your best interest to submit all supporting documents with your exception to policy request in a timely manner. All supporting documentation should be sent to arhuexceptions@umd.edu. Submission of an exception to policy request does not guarantee an approval.
I understand that if I am requesting a Drop/Withdrawal I must consult 1) the Department of Resident Life regarding on-campus housing; 2) the Office of Financial Aid for the credit level requirements governing financial aid prior to submitting this request.
I acknowledge that such requests are unusual and/or extenuating circumstances and are not remedies for errors in judgement.
I understand that if my request is approved the resulting action cannot be undone.
