S. Nisa Asgarali-Hoffman
S. Nisa Asgarali-Hoffman is a Ph.D. student at the iSchool at the University of Maryland. For her research, she utilizes a postcolonial theoretical lens to investigate the intersection of art, biotechnology, and identity. She also does research on informal learning spaces. Nisa is a former Baltimore County Public Schools art educator and has worked in higher education administration at Howard Community College. She holds an M.S. in Human-Centered Computing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a B.A. in Art Education (K-12) and a graduate certification in Interactive Media Design from Towson University, a B.A. in International Area Studies from Drexel University, and an A.A. in Studio Art from Howard Community College. Nisa supports students in Honors Humanities 105, 106, & 206 as a Graduate Assistant.
