My name is Rachel Park and I am a Junior at the University of Maryland majoring in Information Science. While my academics focus on data and technology, I have always been drawn to the flip side of narrative and self-expression. When I applied for this position, I knew that the Jiménez-Porter Writers’ House would become the perfect place to connect with other writers. I became even more drawn when I heard of the unique opportunities that I’d be able to experience such as author visits, LitFest, book launches, and more. Through this opportunity, I hope to produce meaningful work that resonates with like-minded writers.
