Dean's Exception to Policy for Graduate students to Participate in Commencement Ceremonies

Early Commencement Participation Policy

Master’s and Doctoral students who plan to complete degree requirements (defend thesis or dissertation) in summer 2027 must submit the information below for the ARHU Dean's Exception to Policy for Graduate students to Participate in Commencement Ceremonies to ARHU, by May 1, 2027. This form will also be used for requests for early participation in the campus-wide commencement ceremony. The student’s Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) will need to approve. Note departments may require students to defend and submit theses and dissertations before the ceremony. Please consult with your CGS or DGS.

Status message

Graduate students who plan to complete degree requirements  and are seeking permission to participate in the commencement ceremonies may apply for permission when in March 2027
