DEAN'S UNDERGRADUATE ADVISORY BOARD
The College of Arts and Humanities (ARHU) Dean's Undergraduate Advisory Board serves the college by representing the undergraduate ARHU student in monthly meetings with the dean. Students on the board act as liaisons with their ARHU departments, keeping the dean aware of concerns, issues and activities within the college.
Mission
- To provide a forum for voicing student ideas and concerns about pertinent university issues
- To provide the dean of the College of Arts and Humanities input on college issues and concerns
- To provide representation at college and/or department committees and functions
Meet the Dean
Dear ARHU Students,
I'm excited to be on this journey with you as humanists, artists, scholars, and performers. Like you, I deeply believe in the power of the arts and humanities to pave the way to a just future for us as well as for future generations. As dean, I am eager to work with faculty and staff to ensure that our students have everything they need to be ready to contribute to that path to a just future. I'm thrilled to get to work closely with an excellent advisory board comprising undergraduate student representatives from each of the departments in ARHU. I trust their feedback and advice and hope that all ARHU students feel comfortable sharing their concerns, questions, and stories with this advisory Board.
Together, we hope to continue to cultivate ARHU as an intellectual space where established ideas and theories about our society and world are tested, updated, and revised, and where new ideas find their way to light our path to the future.
Ultimately, ARHU disciplines provide us with the space to imagine and think about our society -- who we were, who we are, and who we hope to be. I'm glad we are here together.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Shonekan
