Join us to celebrate the publication of Ralph Bauer’s new book, The Alchemy of Conquest: Science, Religion, and the Secrets of the New World (University of Virginia Press, 2019). Bauer will be joined in conversation by Peter Hulme, Emeritus Professor of Literature at the University of Essex who recently published The Dinner at Gonfarone’s: Salomón de la Selva and His Pan-American Project in Nueva York, 1915-1919 (Liverpool University Press, 2019). The book launch will celebrate these two new books. Light refreshments will be served.
