OMER QUARTET'S MUSIC FOR FOOD CONCERT FIGHTS HUNGER WITH MUSIC

The Omer Quartet raised more than $400 for the pantry by bringing Music for Food to UMD.

"The four students who make up the Omer Quartet brought the Music for Food initiative to The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on Feb. 22, and raised more than $400 for the University of Maryland Campus Pantry.

"Music for Food is "a musician-led initiative to fight hunger in our local communities," according to their website.

"The Omer Quartet consists of four Doctor of Musical Arts students — Mason Yu and Erica Tursi on violin, Jinsun Hong on viola and Alex Cox on cello."
