<p> Join The Clarice Smith Performaning Arts Centers' Artist Partner Program for a post-performance creative conversation with artist-partner Kyle Abraham.<br /><br /> The discussion will last approximately 20 minutes.</p><p> In this interactive evening of contemporary dance focused on loving, longing and loss, audience members are given a choice: experience the pure movement in silence, or don headphones and layer on a rich soundscape. With cross-cultural conversation and community action at its heart, "Dearest Home" showcases movement, in its most vulnerable and intimate state, through a series of solo and duet performances. Grounded in classical arts and heavily influenced by hip-hop culture, choreographer/company leader/ MacArthur Genius award-winner Kyle Abraham’s mission is to create evocative, interdisciplinary performances. He is back at The Clarice after his celebrated 2014 performance of "When Wolves Came In".</p><p> “Kyle Abraham has got the juice, manifested in rolling shoulders and hips and a sense of constant connection.” – The Chicago Tribune</p><p> The presentation of Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts' National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and The Andrew W.
